The public swimming pool opened in July 1939. The City of Aledo partnered with the Works Progress Administration to build the pool using WPA workers from Mercer County. The project architect was William Schulze of Moline.
The Aledo Park District Swimming Pool in Fenton Park opened for the 2018 season on Saturday, May 26. Weather permitting, the pool will remain open through Labor Day.
Season passes for the pool are available at a cost of $50 for an individual pass or $95 for a family pass. Passes can be purchased at the pool.
